Raced 3 wide for the majority of the event. After passing the 800m the mare was not responding to her riding and failed to travel comfortably at any stage of the event and proved disappointing. App Denby was of the opinion that the mare was not comfortable on today’s track conditions. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be displaying a cough and a nasal discharge. Trainer reported horse pulled up well and agreed may not have been comfortable in conditions. Believed it would be better suited over further ground when able to settle closer to the lead.
