Worked keenly to barriers during preliminary. Subsequently examined by the veterinary surgeon, cleared to start. Jockey R Plumb reported at scale that as his mount did not feel comfortable in its action, he was therefore reluctant to place it under pressure once entering the home straight and was eventually eased out of the event near the 200m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slower than normal recovery. A swab sample was taken. Trainer C Munce was at a loss to explain the disappointing performance. He added the mare would be sent for an immediate spell.
