Began awkwardly and bumped STEERING and then shifted in and bumped SLIPPERY SAGA. Inquiry re tactics adopted. Rider T. Harrison stated that whilst it was not her intention to lead, the racing manners of the filly, being inclined to hang out, resulted in her allowing it to stride forward in order to have it settle, however it continued to hang out and proved difficult to ride out with her usual vigour in the straight. Vetted and found to be be lame in the near foreleg. Trainer J. Wallace was that a veterinary clearance must be provided prior to its next race start.
