Fractious in the float en route to the course and sustained minor abrasions to the off hind hock. Examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to race. Began awkwardly. Rounding the home turn was steadied to avoid the heels of REDHAZE, which shifted out when not fully clear. T. Harrison, the rider of REDHAZE, was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
