Rider questioned regarding tactics. Refer Stewards Report. Trainer T. Sears advised that in light of today’s performance it was his intention to send the gelding for a spell after having veterinary tests carried out on the horse, the results of which he will report to stewards. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near foreleg. Mr Sears was advised that the gelding will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.
