Began awkwardly. When racing in restricted room passing the 2000m, the mare was bumped on a number of occasions when tightened by OPEN ROAD which shifted in, and was then checked when crowded for room by DASHING SPECIAL, which laid in, and OPEN ROAD, which shifted out.

After racing in a forward position for the majority, the mare commenced to weaken after passing the 500m and finished tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities. Co-trainers B. & D. Guy advised that in light of today’s performance, it is now their intention to retire the mare to stud.
