When asked to comment on the tactics adopted, jockey S. Cormack advised that he rode the gelding as per his instructions, which were to be in a forward position and lead if possible, which is consistent with its usual racing pattern. He added that having ridden the gelding at its most recent starts, and being advised by the trainer that the gelding resents being restrained once in a comfortable rhythm, he was satisfied to allow the gelding to race in that pattern and eventually crossed DOMINICA ROSE passing the 900m.
