Slow to begin. A short distance later steadied when tightened for room and then failed to take any competitive part in the event despite the efforts of its rider. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be sore in the near fore leg. Trainer L Garrett indicated that the filly would now be retired. Nonetheless, a veterinary clearance will be required should it race again.
