Steward Comment

Began awkwardly. When questioned as to the disappointing performance, Jockey S Galloway stated that the gelding was under pressure leaving the 500m and proved disappointing. Jockey Galloway added that the gelding was displaying an abnormal respiratory sound following the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be displaying a cough. Trainer D Kelly later reported an endoscopic examination revealed a throat infection and advised that the gelding would now be sent for a 6 week spell. A swab sample was taken.
